  11. Apparently the working name for the prototype is the "Walker".  Hmm..

  13. But there is more to this than meets the eye.  People have been bitching about the
  14. EC030/40, I agree somewhat.  But there are a few things that are included (or are
  15. expected to be) that people haven't mentioned:

  17. 1.  It has an additional parallel port, bidirectional (ParNet?)
  18.  
  19. 2.  High speed serial port, and MIDI capable.
  20.  
  21. 3.  PC HD Floppy controller, so we get high-density back.
  22.  
  23. 4.  The slot inside is a CPU slot.
  24.  
  25. 5.  Additional stackable units can be added to it, to add only the expansion
  26.     you need.  Build a tower, or whatever.

  28. This is apparently in the prototype, soon to be shown.  I have heard rumor one of the things
  29. included in 3.2 is some sort of networking support, and this seems to be supported by someone
  30. adding a parallel port (usable for networking with a Parnet cable).  Why else would you use
  31. 2 parallel ports?
